Not sure what to wear? You’ve tried on everything in your closet and still no luck? I think we can agree we’ve all been there. I have definitely been there. That’s why I wanted to take a minute and share outfits, links, and advice that I tell my clients that helps them out so much!
Maybe you are surprised I mentioned this one, but I think it is such a special photoshoot that it is worth the new dress, jeans, blouse, etc. Buying something used or new to feel confident and to love your photos is not a crime! You won’t regret it if you love the piece. I also don’t think you have to go all out and buy a new wardrobe, but if you want to… you do you!
Here are two options that you can use for multiple outfits and pair with anything!
This bodysuit from Bohme can be worn with a cardigan and without. It can be paired with any pair of jeans, pants, or skirt. Because it is so simple, it can be dressed up or down for the occassion.
These overalls are from Roolee How fun and cute are they? These are perfect because denim goes with everything! This is a piece that can be worn on many different occasions.
You can never go wrong with neutrals in a photoshoot. The images turn out so aesthetically pleasing. Because most of the shoots I do are outside in nature, having a good balance of neutrals is perfect for engagements. Going with jeans and a solid colored blouse helps the focus be on you and your partner.
I have a lot of pieces from Love Olive Co They have a lot of great options for blouses, dresses and pants that are neutral colors like tan, cream, and navy.
This cute dress is ivory and is a perfect example of something simple and neautral that will look so beautiful in any location. Because it doesn’t have any striking patterns or colors, it is easy to pair with any shoes like white sneakers, tan sandals, or even bare foot!

I want you to feel at your best and if that means hopping on a Facetime call or sending recommendations… I am your girl. Let’s get it perfect and have the most beautiful time. I often suggest starting with the colors you want to wear and go from there! After that, it is easy to pair a blouse, pants, and shoes. Or if you are wanting to wear a sundress, it is easy to pair a jacket, hat, and accesorries after picking it out!
I always say to pick a good pair of jeans. I love shoots where the couple is wearing white shirts with jeans. Especially on the beach and in the mountains. You can never go wrong with a white shirt and jeans! Here are a couple of options that I think pair well together.

Like I mentioned, we have all felt like there is nothing to wear when an event is coming up. I promise there is! I always take a step back and pick out a few options and go from there. It is the process of elimination while mixing and matching.
Something that always helps me is picking out a favorite outfit that I would normally wear on a date or an occasion that requires a little effort. Something that I makes me feel put together and complete is jewelry. I love a hint of color or texture to outfits. By adding some accesories like earrings, necklaces, or bracelets, the outfit is complete!
Here are a couple of pieces that add just the right amount of pop.

These gold earrings are from Amazon
This gold bracelete is from Made by Mary
Okay, let’s talk about matching your outfit to the photoshoot location. You want to make sure that the outfit fits the theme of the location. For example, you wouldn’t want to wear green if you are taking pictures in the forest, because you will blend in the the greenery. You wouldn’t want to wear orange if you were in the desert.
